Baker General Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va., where he had been a patient since 13 March of this year. He resided at 56 West Hampshire Street, and had been employed 29 years at the Luke plant of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company. A native of Elk Garden, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary Ann (Carey) Laughlin. He was a member of Piedmont Council, Knights of Columbus, and St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. Besides his widow, Mrs. Sarah (Montgomery) Laughlin, he is survived by three children, Martin Laughlin Jr., Baltimore; Richard Laughlin, Lonaconing, and Daniel Laughlin, at home; four brothers, John Laughlin, Pittsburgh; Andrew Laughlin, Cleveland; Charles and Thomas Laughlin, Luke and one sister, Miss Anna Laughlin, Luke." Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Monday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church, by Rev. George J. Pugh, assistant pastor. Monsignor A. Scarpati and Rev. Charles H. Quinn will be in the sanctuary. Kelly-Mansfield Post No. 52 American Legion, Piedmont, will be in charge of military services, with Michael Lannon, William McKone, Dominick Nesci, William McGee, James Kelly and Robert Reeves serving as pallbearers. Interment will be in the parish cemetery."
