The Rev. H.F. Beebe officiated at the rites and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Martin Blair was born in Denmark July 28, 1886. When he was seven years old, he came from Denmark with his parents to this community and resided here since that time. On June 27, 1911 he was united in marriage to Miss Ivah Robinson. The Rev. H.F. Beebe officiated at the rites and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Martin Blair was born in Denmark July 28, 1886. When he was seven years old, he came from Denmark with his parents to this community and resided here since that time. On June 27, 1911 he was united in marriage to Miss Ivah Robinson. To this union 15 children were born. Two sons preceded him in death. Ralph died when only five years of age and Bernard Leland was killed in action in WWII on June 22, 1943. For 10 years after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Blair lived two miles east of Creighton. They then moved to Creighton and have made their home here ever since. He was a mechanic. Surviving are his wife, Iva; seven sons, Melvin of Vancouver, Wash.; Robert of Omaha; Dale of the U.S. Marine Corps, San Diego, Calif.; James, Edward, Raymond and Harold of Creighton; six daughters, Mrs. Dibbert of Randolph; Mrs. Dorothy of Bartlett of Fountain, Colo., Mrs. Evelyn Hellmers of Norfolk, Mrs. Edna Woodworth of Omaha and Donna and Barbara at home; six brothers, Chris of Colridge, Martinus and Casper of Creighton, Anton of Denver, Colo, Frank of Wisner and Pete of Winnetoon; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bartling of Creighton and Mrs. Joan Doane of Omaha; 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
