Reverend Daniel Deardoff officiated with burial following in Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview. Raymond Blair, the son of Martin and Ivah (Robinson) Blair, was born August 23, 1927 at Creighton and died Tuesday, July 6, 1993 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton, following a brief illness. Raymond Blair, the son of Martin and Ivah (Robinson) Blair, was born August 23, 1927 at Creighton and died Tuesday, July 6, 1993 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton, following a brief illness. He attended school in Creighton and was employed by North Central Public Power as a lineman for 38 years, before retiring in 1989. He married Elsie Howell on March 1, 1962 at Las Vegas, NV. She died July 19, 1991. Ray played baseball on the Creighton town team from the late 1940's through the 1960's and was also on the Verdigre team. His other hobbies included bowling, sketching and fishing. He was also an avid county music fan. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was baptized and confirmed on November 30, 1964 by Pastor V.W. Brack at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. Survivors include a son, Joe of Omaha; sisters, Dorothy Rombold, Evelyn Hellmers and Donna Barton, all of Norfolk and Barbara Frahm of Omaha; brothers, Ed of Creighton, Harold of York and Dale of Shreveport, LA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Melvin, Bob, Ralph, Bernard and Jim and sisters, Ruth Lewis and Edna Woodworth. ...The Creighton News 14 July 1993
