Ervin Schemmel officiating. Burial was in Midway Cemetery. He was born June 29, 1891, at Orlin, Iowa, to Thomas and Lucille Albertsen Henrichsen. He married Alma Gehrts on March 11, 1914, at Midway. Ervin Schemmel officiating. Burial was in Midway Cemetery. He was born June 29, 1891, at Orlin, Iowa, to Thomas and Lucille Albertsen Henrichsen. He married Alma Gehrts on March 11, 1914, at Midway. To them two children were born, Arnold and Vivia. They farmed in the Cushing area until her death in June 1918. Martin moved to Cushing where he was employed as a carpenter and interior decorator. He married Viola Bendixen April 22, 1931, in New Ulm, Minnesota. To them, one son, Richard was born. Martin was a member of St. John Lutheran Church since 1914. He entered Willowdale Nursing Home in Battle Creek, February 10, 1970, and resided there until February 4, 1979, when he was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Sioux City where he passed away February 5 after a long illness. Survivors include the widow, Viola, a daughter, Mrs. Viva Doerr of Lincoln City, Oregon, one son, Richard of Hayward, California, two daughters-in-law, Joyce Henrichsen of Hayward, California, and Dorothy Henrichsen of Holstein, one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Otto of Holstein, six grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, wife Alma, one son Arnold in 1978, one sister, Bertha Kurtz, three brothers, August, John and Carsten, and one grandson, John Doerr.
