Description	:	Marvin August Wipperling Sr. was born on Dec. 2, 1931 to August Frederick and Ann Marie Klussman Wipperling in Pierce County near McLean, Neb. He was baptized on Apr. 10, 1932 at Hope Lutheran Church in Pierce County. His sponsors were George and Martha Klussman. He was confirmed on June 8, 1947 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Read More	Marvin August Wipperling Sr. was born on Dec. 2, 1931 to August Frederick and Ann Marie Klussman Wipperling in Pierce County near McLean, Neb. He was baptized on Apr. 10, 1932 at Hope Lutheran Church in Pierce County. His sponsors were George and Martha Klussman. He was confirmed on June 8, 1947 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He attended school in District School #68 in Pierce County, graduating in 1945. He later went to Grain Training School at Kansas City, Mo. He was united in marriage to Caroline Lou Sothan on June 5, 1955 at the Lutheran Church in Plainview, Neb. To this union seven children were born: Teresa, Marvin Jr., Cynthia, Kathleen, Glenn, Ronald and Leon. He served his country during the Korean War, serving in 1953 and 1954. He worked for the Farmers Co-op Association in Marathon, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed playing any type of card games. Preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson. Survivors include his wife, Caroline Wipperling, Marathon; four sons, Marvin Jr. and his wife, Sandy, Newell; Glenn and his wife, Debra, Odebolt; Ronald Wipperling, Newell; and Leon and his wife, Kathi, Alta; three daughters, Teresa Mason, Newell; Cynthia Morse and Kathleen Wolcott, both of Storm Lake; two brothers, Melvin Wipperling, Missouri Valley and Merlon Wipperling, Norfolk, Neb.; three half brothers, Willford Gugat, LeMars; Roy Gugat, Lincoln, Neb. and Larry Gugat, Sioux City; three sisters, Martha Mewis, Norfolk, Neb.; Mabel Siegert, Pilgar, Neb. and Elizabeth Marshall, Harvard, Neb.; two half sisters, Eva Martin, Omaha. Neb. and Betty Mace, Enid, Okla.; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher Rubendahl, Candace Wipperling, Jesse Wipperling, Casey Wipperling, Nicole Mason, Brian Wipperling, Kayla Wolcott, Tony Wipperling, Kyle Wolcott, Michael Morse, Samantha Wipperling, Victoria Morse, Erica Wipperling and Desiree Morse and other relatives and friends.
