Description	:	Marvin B. Henning, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born April 17, 1930, in Lancaster County, Nebraska, the first child of Ben and Cora (Steuer) Henning. Marvin was baptized on May 25, 1930 in Kramer, Nebraska and confirmed on May 9, 1943 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kramer. He graduated from Crete High School and entered the National Air Guard in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was stationed in Bangor, Maine on April 17, 1951. He was born April 17, 1930, in Lancaster County, Nebraska, the first child of Ben and Cora (Steuer) Henning. Marvin was baptized on May 25, 1930 in Kramer, Nebraska and confirmed on May 9, 1943 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kramer. He graduated from Crete High School and entered the National Air Guard in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was stationed in Bangor, Maine on April 17, 1951. After his time in the Air Force he attended two years at the University of Nebraska. He married Donna Lorenz on March 31, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were blessed with two children; Pamela was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and Paula was born in Provo, Utah. He worked for Woolworth as a Manager and then became a successful business owner in Independence, Kansas and later in Lincoln, Nebraska. He retired in 1997, and Marvin and Donna then moved to Bella Vista/Rogers, Arkansas area where he lived at the time of his death. Marvin enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, trap and skeet shooting, playing cards, cutting wood and cleaning up the farm. He was also very active in his church serving as Sunday School Superintendent, Elder, and Usher. Survivors include his wife, Donna Henning of Rogers, Arkansas; his daughters, Pamela Morrell of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Paula (Stan) Wilson of Wichita, Kansas; brothers Donley (Judy) Henning; Roger (Mary Jo) Henning; Carol (Art) Brinkmeyer. Four grandchildren: Emily (Corey) Base, Kyle Wilson, Chad Morrell, and Megan Wilson, one great-granddaughter Miriam Base, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. March 3, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kramer, Nebraska. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Kyle Wilson, Chad Morrell, Jon Henning, David Brinkmeyer, Corey Base, Mike Koebernick. Honorary pallbearers are Emily Base and Megan Wilson. A celebration of his life will be held at Bella Vista Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas on March 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Marvin requested memorials be given to The Lutheran Hour.
