Description	:	LAYTONSVILLE - Marvin Paul Warnick, 75, of Laytonsville, Montgomery County, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Montgomery General Hospital, Olney, following a brief illness. Born June 14, 1924, he was the son of the late William Clay and Julia Ellen (Lee) Warnick. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Freda Mae (Wilt) Warnick; a son, Walter L. Warnick and wife Anne, Laytonsville; two granddaughters, Ashlie Colleen Warnick, Alexandria, Va., and Leah Brooke Warnick, Laytonsville; and a sister, Eleanor Wolfe and husband Paul, Livonia, Mich. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Eldridge Warnick. Warnick and wife Anne, Laytonsville; two granddaughters, Ashlie Colleen Warnick, Alexandria, Va., and Leah Brooke Warnick, Laytonsville; and a sister, Eleanor Wolfe and husband Paul, Livonia, Mich. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Eldridge Warnick. Born in Westernport, he moved with his family to Barton, where he attended school and graduated from Barton High School in 1942. He served with the U.S. Army in the United States and Europe during World War II. He attended the University of Baltimore on the GI Bill, where he graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. From 1950 until his retirement in 1976, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. He later worked with his family in the construction of several homes including his last residence in Laytonsville. Very much interested in Western Maryland genealogy, he and Freda worked with their son Walter in publishing volumes of family history about the Warnicks, Lees, Wilts and Fazenbakers. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
