Funeral Services, 2 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ramseur. Officiating, Rev. Dwayne Lester, Rev. Delmar Scotton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Marvin was a native of Randolph County, retired from Klopman Mills and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 Years, Dorothy, and by his brothers, George, Ed, and Richard Hughes. Survivors: daughters, Pansy H. York, and husband J.C., of Ramseur, Barbara Ann "Brandy" Spatz, and husband Cliff, of Greensboro, sons, Johnny F. Hughes, and wife Shirley, of Ramseur, Marvin "Bud" Hughes, and wife Patricia, of Ramseur, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Randolph Hospital as well as the staff of Randolph Hospice House Visitation, 1 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ramseur.
