Description	:	Mrs. Joseph Troette Mary A. Moyer, was born in Hannibal, Mo., March 11, 1853, at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 12 days. In the year 1858 she came with her parents to Van Buren County, Iowa, which has since been her home. She was united in marriage to J. B. Troette, March 2, 1872, and to this union were born three children, William F. of Eldon, Iowa, Sadie E. Winslow of Birmingham and Mrs. Lillie Barnes of Olmstead, Ill., all of whom were at her bedside. She is also survived by three brothers: William Moyer, Colorado, D. W. Moyer... In the year 1858 she came with her parents to Van Buren County, Iowa, which has since been her home. She was united in marriage to J. B. Troette, March 2, 1872, and to this union were born three children, William F. of Eldon, Iowa, Sadie E. Winslow of Birmingham and Mrs. Lillie Barnes of Olmstead, Ill., all of whom were at her bedside. She is also survived by three brothers: William Moyer, Colorado, D. W. Moyer of Memphis, Mo. And Thompson Moyer of Fairfield, Iowa; three sisters: Mrs. Sarah Sadler and Celestine Winters of Selma, Iowa, Mrs. Martha Denning of Ottumwa, Iowa. Two sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Troette has been a resident of Birmingham for many years. She was kind and affectionate, a good mother and a good neighbor, thinking more for the comfort of others than herself. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of this place and was a faithful attendant when her health would permit. The funeral service was held in the Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon at 2:30, in charge of Rev. Hugh Brower of Fairfield. Inter_________the rest cut off______. Source: Van Buren Co.
