She was a Red Cross Bloodmobile volunteer. She is survived by one son, Ray Cangas, Fort Madison; five daughters, Frances Padgham, Louisville, Colo., Gloria Cangas, Fort Madison, Rosalie Hendrix, Fort Madison and Rita Marshall and Melissa Payne, both of Denmark; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Puga, Fort Madison; three sisters, Agnes Garcia, Fort Madison, Carmen Guzman, Burlington and Terry Pacheco, Laredo, Texas; one nephew she helped raise, Joe Cangas, Des Moines; one niece she helped raise, Joann Limas, Tinley Park, Ill; and a number of other nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one nephew. Friends may call after 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, where family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. and a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, at Sacred Heart Church, with Rev. Thomas Parlette officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at King-Lynk Funeral Home.
