Tankersley was born in Scott Co.IL in 1840 & passed to her eternal reward from the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Dehaven, in Garrison, N. D. on Wednesday morning Oct 17, 1928 at the advanced age of 88 years and four months. When but a small child she came with her parents to Warren Co., IA, where they decided to make their home. When fifteen years of age she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Indianola, IA and later transferred her membership to the M. E. Church of Ogden, and remained a member of said church until the time of her demise. In 1856 at the early age of sixteen, she was marreid to John W. Bryan. This union was brief as eleven years later John passed away. In 1882 she was again united in wedlock with Lindsey D. Andrews who also preceded her in death passing away on March 6, 1920. They made their home in Ogden from 1912 until the death of Mr. Andrews. OBIT FOR Mary Angeline TANKERSLEY Bryan Millhorn Andrews - Mrs. Andrews was the mother of eight children, one of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are: Wm. Lindsey Bryan, James Milton Bryan, Mrs. John Dehaven, Garrison N. D., Mrs. E. Lyburger, Boone; Mrs. L. H. Reeves, San Jose, CA, Mrs. James Pritchard, Ogden, Mrs. Pearl Lansing, St. Paul Minn; Also twenty grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Since 1920 Mrs. Andrews made her home with her daughter Mrs. John Dehaven in Garrison, N. D. For about two years she has been an invalid and for most part bedfast owing to a broken hip. She was a patient suffer, kind and thoughtful of others. A loving mother and a devoted friend. She cherished her religion and when the call came she was ready. With the great apostle she too could say: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished by course, and I have kept the faith." Music was furnished for the funeral by Blanche Kinkner, Laura Thomas, Dr. Darling, and Harold Denny. The pall bearers were H. Helphrey, W. McFCollum, E. Engleen, G. Anderson, M. Jones and C. Morgan.
