Description	:	She was the daughter of Charles Martin and Mary Quinn, and was born in Ireland. After her mother's second husband, Thomas Langan, died sometime about 1845, the mother and all her children immigrated to the United States. Mary married Thomas Francis "Frank" McCoy in 1858 in Doniphan County, Kansas. Their son Frank, Jr., was born in August 1866. Mary's husband was killed by Indians while delivering a supply wagon near Boise, Idaho, in November 1866. Mary married Thomas Francis "Frank" McCoy in 1858 in Doniphan County, Kansas. Their son Frank, Jr., was born in August 1866. Mary's husband was killed by Indians while delivering a supply wagon near Boise, Idaho, in November 1866. She and her husband and son had only recently settled in Walla Walla, Washington, and had planned to make their homestead there. Her husband had been running a freight wagon from Doniphan, Kansas to Denver Colorado. He had sold the freight wagon and was on his way with the wagon to deliver it to the buyer in Boise, Idaho, when he was ambushed. Records show after her husband's death, she and her son returned to Doniphan, Kansas, and lived with her half-brothers Michael and Thomas Langan in the Jordan Creek area, near Bendena. She remained there until her death in 1905. She was survived by her son, Frank Jr., and grandchildren Mary, Leo, John, and Francis. Another grandson, James, was born 1908.
