Description	:	Mrs. Mary A. Price, wife of John J. Price, died at her home three miles south east of York, at 1:30 Monday morning, after a long illness. About a year ago Mrs. Price had an attack of heart and kidney trouble, which later developed into dropsy. Price, died at her home three miles south east of York, at 1:30 Monday morning, after a long illness. About a year ago Mrs. Price had an attack of heart and kidney trouble, which later developed into dropsy. From the first it was realized that her case was serious and all that medical skill and loving hearts and willing hands could do was done to arrest the grim destroyer, but to no purpose. About a month ago her right side was paralyzed, but she rallied, and was apparently doing nicely till about seven o'clock Sunday evening, July 22, when she received another stroke on her left side and almost immediately sank into unconsciousness in which state she remained till death came to her relief at the hour stated above. Through all her long sickness she exhibited the patient disposition which characterized her whole life, never complaining of her own suffering. Mary A. McGowan was born in Rutland, Vermont, November 4, 1856, and when quite young removed with her parents to Wisconsin. On September 4, 1878 she was united in marriage at Madison, with John J. Price. In the fall of 1878, they came to Nebraska, and settled on a farm 4 1/2 miles south of Waco, York Co., where they resided till about seven years ago, when they removed to the farm they now occupy. Besides an aged mother residing in Wisconsin, and several Brothers and sisters, Mrs. Price leaves a husband and eight children, and scores of friends to mourn her death. Mrs. Mary A. Price was truly one of natures noble women. Her big, kind heart and sympathetic disposition for the suffering and misfortunes of others won for her a place in the affections of all those acquainted with her and a remembrance of good deeds done, in a quiet and unassuming way by her that will never be forgotten. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, at ten o'clock, Tuesday, and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery east of York. The funeral was largely attended, attesting the esteem in which this most estimable woman was held by neighbors and friends. Unknown Source
