| Description | : | Mary Ann Morey was the first child born to George and Sylvia (Silvie) Morey. George was an early supporter of Joseph Smith, Jr. in the early years of the Mormon church. Mary Ann was living with her parents in Nauvoo when she met John Keown, a stone cutter working on the construction of the Mormon Temple. They married in Nauvoo in 1843 and lived there until leaving Illinois in 1852 to follow the newly organized branch of the Mormon Church, the RLDS Church.
