Description	:	Sylvia was born to Supply and Eunice Brayton Butterfield. She married George Morey on 29 October 1825 in Butler CO, Ohio. Sylvia and George had 9 surviving children born during their travels west from Ohio through Indiana, Illinois and finally settling in Missouri as part of the Mormon migrations of the 1830s. After being expelled from Missouri, the Morey family finally settled in Pleasanton, Iowa where both George and Sylvia died. We know a little bit about her final years from the book 'Letters to Mollie' published by Gary Vitale in which 'Gran'ma Morey' is mentioned. ... Quoting from the book, both the actual letters as well as the author's comments: pg. 247, letter written 9/19/1880: "Deborah Morey is no better. Old Mother [Sylvia] Morey is dreadful low She can't live long. She was glad to see me when I called to see her. Helen [Rockwell] looks bad. pg. 249, author's comments. George Rockwell had died three years before, and that is why his widow, Helen is living with her mother Sylvia Butterfield Morey, called Gran'ma Morey. pg. 251, letter written 10/13/1880: 'Gran'ma Morey died this morning. She was 74 years old. Was anxious to go and be as rest.' No tombstone was found for Sylvia in the Hamilton Cemetery in 2015.
