Description	:	Obituary: "Mrs. Mary Ann Teter, aged 72 years, died at her home near Upton, Sunday morning (March 12, 1905). Death was due to paralysis. Last Friday morning, while attending to her household duties, Mrs. Teter suffered a paralytic stroke which rendered her unconscious. She never regained consciousness. Although competent medical aid was summoned and everything possible was done to relieve her suffering and prolong life, it was useless and after two days of agony she passed away. Read More	Obituary: "Mrs. Mary Ann Teter, aged 72 years, died at her home near Upton, Sunday morning (March 12, 1905). Death was due to paralysis. Mrs. Teter was a resident of Iowa for half a century and was married in Scotland County, Mo., many years ago. Her maiden name was Shaw and she was married to Mr. Teter when a young woman. She is survived by two brothers, residing in Putnam County, Mo. She was also the mother of six children; George Teter, merchant, at Upton; William Teter, of Memphis, Mo.; Mrs. John Silver, of this place; Mrs. William McClelland, and Hugh, who resided with his mother. Two chldren preceded her to the grave some years ago. Her husband, it will be remembered, died just a year ago last week. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church at Upton, Monday afternoon, Rev. Gilbert, of this city, officiating. Interment was made in the Cantril (Maple Grove) cemetery. The large procession which followed the body of the dead woman to its last resting place demonstrated the high esteem in which she was held. Her passing has called forth many expressions of regret and the sympathy of the entire community is extended to the heart stricken family."
