The deceased was married to David P. Tressler, Oct. 10, 1860. To this union was born four children, two sons, William Krothers and Abraham Cloyed, who died in infancy, and two daughters, Anna Elizabeth, and Minnie Keturah, who were with her during lingering sickness and sad demise. The deceased was married to David P. Tressler, Oct. 10, 1860. To this union was born four children, two sons, William Krothers and Abraham Cloyed, who died in infancy, and two daughters, Anna Elizabeth, and Minnie Keturah, who were with her during lingering sickness and sad demise. The departed one was converted when but a child and joined the Lutheran church. After marriage she became a member of the Evangelical church to which fellowship she remained a number of years. During the pastorate of Rev. Scott she joined the Methodist Episcopal church of this place and remained a faithful and consistent member until death. She, with her husband came to Kansas in 1871, and arrived in Americus in Oct. 10, of that year, and has since made this her home. She leaves a husband, two daughters, Mrs. Lowry and Mrs. Minnie Wright, and five grand children, who reside in this place, and two brothers and four sisters who reside in Pennsylvania The funeral services were held at the residence on Christmas day at 1 o'clock. The Rev. Rice officiated assisted by Rev. Wilson of the U. P. church. The text was from Hebrews xi, 13, "These all died in the faith." Mrs. Wilson, wife of the pastor, sang a beautiful solo being a version of the 23d psalm. A quartette composed of D. K. Lesh and wife, Miss Jessie Jaquith and Leon Gaither led the congregation in singing her favorite selections while living. The G. A. R. and the Relief Corps, as well as the A. O. U. W. and Select Knights turned out in a body to do honor to her last remains and at 2:30 o'clock they were taken to their final resting place in Americus cemetery. ... for the past year she has been confined to her bed most of the time.... During the last six days she laid in a semi-conscious condition, not taking a mouth full of nourishment or drink, ....
