Wear, daughter of J.T. and Eliza Wear was born in Van Buren county, February 21, 1867, and left this life the evening of March 3, 1938, age 71 years, 10 days. Her suffering was not of long duration, although she had been frail for quite a long time. She was married to Chas. Rolison, November 3, 1891 and they together have lived in Van Buren and Wapello counties. Her suffering was not of long duration, although she had been frail for quite a long time. She was married to Chas. Rolison, November 3, 1891 and they together have lived in Van Buren and Wapello counties. To them were born five children namely: Harry, who passed away at the age of three, the others who with their father survive are: Mrs. Clyde Ford, of Troy; Claude, of St. Paul, Minn.; Clyde Rolison of Montrose, Calif; and Mrs. Clarence Ewing of Kilbourne; 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grand children, two brothers, Grant Wear of Davenport, and John Wear of Douds, and a host of other relatives and friends. Since early childhood she had been a member of the Methodist church and was faithful in her attendance until she moved to Ottumwa in 1922 when she was unable to attend. Preceding her death were her parents, one son and one sister. She was a loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed in the home and community.
