She was born July 17, 1897, near Valley Falls, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth “Libby” Allen Miller. She was graduated from Valley Falls High School and attended Pittsburg State Teachers College. She lived in Holton the past 42 years. Read More	Mrs. Mary Belle Forster, 88, Holton, died Thursday, Jan. 2, at a Holton nursing home. Mrs. Forster taught a year in Gray county and three years in rural Jackson County north of Holton. She was born July 17, 1897, near Valley Falls, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth “Libby” Allen Miller. She was graduated from Valley Falls High School and attended Pittsburg State Teachers College. She lived in Holton the past 42 years. She was married to Robert Louis Forster Aug 16, 1921 at St. Dominic’s Church, Holton. They lived on a farm northeast of Holton, then came to where she lived until her death. Her husband, Robert preceded her in death on Sept 30, 1958. Mrs. Forster was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, the MaryAnn Circle, Altar Society and the Golden Age Club, all of Holton. Survivors include four sons, Robert V. Forster and wife, Marilyn, West Webster, NY, Louis G. Forster and wife, Pauline, Topeka, Joseph Gaylord Forster and wife, Donna, Horton, and Charles N. Forster and wife, Edna, Holton; a sister, Mrs. Edith Hamel, and husband, Jerry, Fredericksburg, Texas; a brother, Charles M Miller and wife, Winifred, Topeka; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was Held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan 6, at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Holton, with Father Bob Hasenkamp officiating. Burial was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Holton. Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday from Mercer Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Jay Forster, Calvin Kyser, Randy Forster, Rodney Forster, Dean Forster and Jim Miller.
