Description	:	Mary Brenneman was the seventh child born to Susanna Beachy and Daniel D.Brenneman at Bittinger, Md on July 22, 1859. She met Pete Opel when her family went to a barn raising near Grantsville, MD. She and Peter Opel were united in marriage January 4, 1887, by Amish pastor S.A.Miller at his home. Mary Brenneman Opel settled with her husband Pete Opel on 70 acres of land that her father had given her off nearby Orendorf Road. Mary was an industrious woman who loved to cook and sew, and teach Sunday School at the Amish Church nearby on Foxtown Road. In the... Mary had Diabetes and eventually gangrene set into her toes. She died at home April 25, 1923, after 26 years of marriage.
