She was born at Ripley, Ohio, and came west with her parents in 1866, and has lived continuously in Doniphan county ever since. The deceased was the eldest daughter of ten children. She was born at Ripley, Ohio, and came west with her parents in 1866, and has lived continuously in Doniphan county ever since. She departed this life from the parental roof, two miles west of Brenner, Kansas. Having never married she had spent her life in the interest and welfare of her parents, brothers and sisters, of whom she was always more mindful than of herself. She will be remembered by a host of sorrowing friends, many of whom accompanied the family and remains in the last sad rite of interment, which service was beautifully conducted at Moray church and cemetery, the Rev. Troy Times, Friday, 14 April 1899 LOYD Miss Mary Loyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Loyd, died at her home, two miles west of Brenner, last Thursday and was buried at Moray cemetery Saturday. The deceased was the eldest of a family of six children, three sons and three daughters all of whom were present at the funeral.
