Description	:	Funeral services held Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church for Mrs. Norman Washburn, who passed away Monday following a heart attack. Rev. A. G. Baalson of Meckling officiated. Burial in Bluff View cemetery under the direction of Frank M. Olds. Pallbearers were Bert Orr, Roland Orr, Richard Kain, John Armstrong, Robert Huntington and Everett Maxwell. Mrs. Washburn had been in poor health for many years, suffering from arthritis, which made it necessary for her to use a crutch or cane to get around the house. Mrs. Washburn had been in poor health for many years, suffering from arthritis, which made it necessary for her to use a crutch or cane to get around the house. Otherwise her general health was good and she was able to enjoy a family party which was held at the Oliver Washburn home Sunday. She was stricken with a heart attack late in the afternoon and was taken to her own home on the same farm. She failed to rally and died the following day. Mrs. Washburn, whose maiden name was Mary Catherine Chaussee, was born in Clay county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alec Chaussee. Her marriage occurred February 14, 1899, to Norman Washburn. Her life had been spent with her husband and son, farming in this county. Six years ago the three of them had purchased a farm home, six miles north of Meckling, which they had built up for a permanent home. Mrs. Washburn is survived by her husband and only son, Oliver, who with his wife, lives on the home farm. She is leaves two sister, Mrs. Chester Shurtleff of Vermillion, and Mrs. Clara E.
