Schroeder died at the St. Anthony hospital Wednesday afternoon, December 14. at 3:30 o'clock, after struggling for life for several days. Mary Dorothy Schroeder was the daughter of the late Frank Fritz and Mrs. Fritz, and was born in this city February 6, 1895. She was married to C.O. Schroeder February 9, 1914, at the St. Joseph church, this city. Three children blessed this union, Franklin, aged 12 years; Rose Marie, 10 years, and Robert, 7 years of age. The father and the three children survive. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Frank Fritz; two brothers, Edward and Arthur Fritz; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Muese of California, and Mrs. Lottie Billmire of Carroll. Mrs. Schroeder was beloved by all who knew her for her gentle ways and happy disposition and leaves a tender memory in the hearts of all her friends. She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Rosary sodality of the St. Joseph church, a loyal wife and a good mother. Her untimely death leaves an aching void in the hearts of those who loved her. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the SS. Peter and Paul church with Monsignor Stephen Butler officiating at the solemn requiem high mass. The pall bearers were Charles and Hugh Morgan, Lawrence Meyers, Ben Comes, Robert Spillman and T. Berntsen. Mrs. J.B. Keough of Clarion, Charles Goodman of Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tranter of Ralston were not present because of illness in their families.
