Description	:	Mary came to Canada in 1821 with her parents John Dunlop and Agnes Crail. Died at her son David's farm near Harper Ont. The Lanark Era, Births, Marriages and Deaths 1895-1911 Wed. September 26, 1900 We regret to record the death of Mrs. Brownlee, one of our oldest settlers. She had moved to the farm of her son David in Bathurst. Funeral on Monday at Crawford's Cemetery. Note: The Date of Death of Mary Dunlop is incorrect on the headstone, as it should be Sept. 22, 1900 not 1902. This is not the original headstone as the original... Note: The Date of Death of Mary Dunlop is incorrect on the headstone, as it should be Sept. 22, 1900 not 1902. This is not the original headstone as the original had started to crack and crumble. The headstone was replaced by Robert and Mary Brownlee's grandchildren in about 1955. Her grandson Robert Lawrence Brownlee was the one that organized the replacement and collected the money from his cousins to pay for it. The headstone engravers had made an error engraving Mary's date of death and engraved 1902 instead of 1900. My Grandfather Robert Lawrence was not pleased at the time but it was as the old saying goes "it was engraved in stone". How do I know, I was there with my grandfather when the replacement stone was installed. Jim Brownlee
