Description	:	Note: Mary's obituary, which I have transcribed below, states that she was the daughter of William and Sarah Roemerman. This appears to be an error. Sarah's first husband, Henry A. Romerman, died August 11, 1872. Family information received from findagrave member Mark C, confirms that Mary's parents were William Richard and Sarah Worrell. This agrees with the 1925 Census for Wapello County, in which Mary stated that her parents were R. William and Sarah Berklebach Worrell. (Names spelled as in census record.) --------------- Obituary From Ottumwa Daily Courier, December 6, 1958: Mrs. Mary E. Cohagan, 71, wife of Z.A. Cohagan, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday at the Ideal Nursing home. Her home had been at 822 Wabash avenue. A daughter of William and Sarah Roemerman, she was born in Davis county, June 30, 1887. She had been a resident of Ottumwa since 1911. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational church. She and Mr. Cohagan were married December 17, 1911, in Cincinnati, Iowa. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold Goodwin, a son, Kenneth Cohagan, six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. P.E. Salter of Ottumwa, and two brothers, the Rev. J.A. Worrell of Fremont and L.H. Worrell of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational church. The Rev. Clyde Erwin will be in charge. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The body will remain at the Jay funeral home until time for the services.
