Estalena's obituary gave her date of marriage to Zora Cohagan as Feb. 2, 1963. Further research has verified that Zora and Estalena were married February 2, 1963, in Ottumwa. Also transcribed here is a notice of their marriage: "Mrs Ross Weds Cohagan," From Ottumwa Courier, Monday, February 4, 1963: Mrs. Estalina [sic] Ross and Zora Cohagan were married Saturday at 7 p.m. in her home at 705 S. Webster. The bride's sister, Rev. Nina Haines, officiated at the double-ring ceremony after her son, Alvin Ross of Houston, Tex., gave her in marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Fourroux of Kansas City, son-in-law and daughter of the bride, were attendants. Rings were carried by Hugh Fourroux. Mr. Cohagan is a retired Burlington Railroad employe. They will live at 822 Wabash. --------------- Obituary From Ottumwa Courier, March 22, 1965: Zora A. Cohagan, 80, of 822 Wabash, died Sunday at 4 am. at his home. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born Oct. 13, 1884 in Davis County, the son of Peter and Phyllis Thomlin [sic] Cohagan. He retired as an employee of the CB & Q freight house in 1949 after 37 years with the railroad. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and attended the Plymouth Congregational Church. He was married Feb. 12, 1963 [sic] in Ottumwa to Estalena Ross who survives. He also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Harold Goodwin of Ottumwa; one son, Kenneth Cohagan of Ottumwa; a stepson, Alvin Ross; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Colene Watts and Mrs. Donna Fourroux; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Worrell [sic] Cohagan, in 1958; one brother, Allen Cohagan; and one sister, Mrs. Orpha Jackson. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Russell of the Plymouth Congregational Church and the Rev. Paul Beaver of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Goodwin, Roger Goodwin, John Goodwin, Max Goodwin, Willard Watts and John Watts.
