Bobst passed peacefully away at her late home in DuBois Tuesday morning, May 16, at about seven o'clock. On the morning of February 27, Mrs. Bobst was stricken with an attack of paralysis, and although at all times able to converse with those about her, she was never able to leave her bed again. As soon as the mother was stricken, the children, some of whom are making their homes in distant states, gathering at her bedside and through all the intervening weeks, were continually at her side, eager to minister to her every want and to make as far as possible her last hours peaceful and happy. Mary Eliza Taylor was born at Northampton, Mass., June 11, 1843, and died May 16, 1922, aged 78 years, 11 months, and five days. In the year 1858 she came with her parents to Atchison, Kas., living there until 1860, when they moved to Centralia, Kas. It was there she was united in marriage to George T. Bobst June 11, 1863, since which time she has since resided in this vicinity. To this union were born nine children, all of whom were present during her illness except Edmund, who died September 17, 1912. The husband, George T. Bobst, passed away in January, 1884. Her only remaining sister, Mrs. A. Brock, was present during the first of her illness and at the funeral service. The deceased united with the Methodist church when a girl 15 years of age, and has ever since that time lived a consistent member of that church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. E. Austin at the M. E. church in DuBois Thursday afternoon at three o'clock and the body was laid to rest beside that of her husband in the Cincinnati cemetery.
