She was the wife of Leo Roberson. Born in Tazewell, Va., Mrs. Roberson was a daughter of the late Dr. James and Eliza Walker Hicks. Mrs. Roberson received a degree in education at the state teachers university in Radford, Va. She was a retired postmaster from the Dickerson Post Office. She was a member of the Dickerson United Methodist Church and Pentalpha Chapter No. 38, Order of Eastern Star, Gaithersburg. Besides her husband, Mrs. Roberson is survived by four sons, Robert Roberson of Dickerson, Paul Roberson of Frederick, Douglas Roberson of Kitzmiller and John Roberson, Walkersville; one sister, Myra Howe, Clarksburg; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roberson was predeceased by a son, William Roberson, in 1975. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, where the Order of Eastern Star will hold a memorial service at 8:30 p.m.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy and memorials in Mrs. Roberson's name be sent to Dickerson United Methodist Church, Dickerson, Md. 20842.
