She departed this life on September 4, 1967 at St. Paul at the age of 59 years, two months and 22 days. She was baptized on June 28, 1908 in O'Connor and lived most of her life in rural areas around Burwell and Greeley County. She attended school in Greeley County. She was united in marriage to Erroll Berney on July 26, 1926 in Grand Island. They made their home in and around the Wolbach community. To this union nine children were born. Before her health failed in 1959 she was employed in several local establishments and belonged to several clubs. She leaves to mourn her passing, four sons: John (Serving in the Navy) of Norfolk, Vrginia; Dwayne and Dale from Omaha and Ronnie of Kennard. Five Daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Bayless of Lincoln, Mrs. Caryl Nelson of Fort Calhoun, Mrs. Nadine Wieseman of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Marilyn Todd of Carson, Iowa and Mrs. Beverly Newquist of Cedar Rapids; one brother Art Horn of Omaha; five sisters, Mrs. Lillian Berney and Mrs. Helen Wadsworth of Wolbach, Mrs. Virginia Scheibe of Blair, Mrs. Georgia Oakley of Palmer and Mrs. Edna Studley of Greeley; and 30 grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, and three grandchildren.
