Daphne Hamborg officiating. Mrs. Merrill Womach sang "Good Night and Good Morning" and "The Lord is My Shepherd." Dorothy Mae Berney was born March 27, 1929 in Greeley County, Nebraska, the daughter of Erroll and Mary Berney and died July 19, 1983 at Omaha, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed n the Trinity Lutheran Church at Wolbach and received her education in the Wolbach Public Schools. She and LeRoy Bayless were united in marriage in Kansas on November 2, 1946. The couple resided in Lincoln for 23 years before moving to Elkhorn, Nebraska. At the time of her death she was employed as an assembler at Western Electric. Four children were born to this union, Dan of Colorado and Dick of Oregon and two daughters who died in infancy. Survivors besides her two sons are four brothers and four sisters, John Berney of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Dwayne, Dale and Ronald, all of Omaha, Caryl Nelson of Ft. Calhoun, Nadine Weisima of Phoenix, Arizona; Marilyn Todd of Carson, Iowa and Beverly Newquist of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, two infant daughters and her parents.
