Description	:	Mrs. J. D. Coder passed away very suddenly at her home near Loretto Sunday. She had been sick with stomach trouble a great deal of the time for the past two years, but was up and about her work Sunday almost up to the time she was stricken. Mary Ellen Lee was born at Marshall, Michigan, in 1855. At the age of seventeen she married Frank Kelley and to them were born four boys and one girl, the latter, Mrs. F. C. She had been sick with stomach trouble a great deal of the time for the past two years, but was up and about her work Sunday almost up to the time she was stricken. Mary Ellen Lee was born at Marshall, Michigan, in 1855. At the age of seventeen she married Frank Kelley and to them were born four boys and one girl, the latter, Mrs. F. C. Ulrich, being the only one living. Mr. Kelley also died, and in 1885, she was united in marriage to J. D. Coder. To this union were born four children, two boys and two girls, all of whom are living. Mr. and Mrs. Coder lived for a time in Dodge and Saunders counties this state, coming from there to Boone County. Mrs. Coder was converted and united with the Church of Christ in 1898. Her life was such that those who knew her best loved her best. The husband and children who are left alone, have the sympathy of a host of friends. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 10:30 from the Christian chapel, conducted by J. D. Poynter and interment made in Rose Hill cemetery. All of the children were present at the funeral.
