True at Osage City, Kans. where the Robohns are spending their vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Robohn were born and spent the early part of their lives at Oskaloosa, Kans. They came to Oklahoma in 1901 and homesteaded a claim three miles north of Carnegie where P.N. Holbrook now lives. In 1906 they moved into town where they have since been active in civic and social affairs. Both are members of the Methodist church and have been teachers in the Sunday school for years. Mr. Robohn is an Odd Fellow and a thirty-second degree Mason, Mrs. Robohn is a Rebekah and an Eastern Star. Mr. Robohn was in the government service for some time and helped survey what was then known as the Indian Territory. He also helped to survey part of the land adjoining Carnegie. He has been with the Carnegie schools for the past 20 years. Published in The Carnegie Herald, Carnegie, Caddo Co., OK Wed., May 9, 1962 Former Carnegie Pioneer Woman Dies In Kansas Services for Mrs. Mary Robohn, a former pioneer of Carnegie, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hage Funeral chapel, at Valley Falls, Kans., according to word received by her grandson, Jim True of Lawton. Mrs. Robohn died Monday night at Valley Falls after being an invalid for several years. She had passed the century mark in years on May 4. Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Robohn were engaged in the grocery, feed and produce business in Carnegie in the early days. Later Mr. Robohn was custodian of the Carnegie school until his retirement due to ill health. He died in 1938. Mrs. Robohn was a charter member of the Carnegie chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, receiving her 50-year pin recently. She also was a Rebekah and an active member of the Methodist church as long as her health permitted. After her husband's death, she moved to Valley Falls with her daughter, Mrs. Edna True. She is survived by the daughter; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
