Robohn, pioneer, known for years as Colonel and later affectionately call Daddy, passed away at his home in Carnegie at 2 a.m. Wednesday following an attack of pneumonia. Daddy Robohn had been in poor health since the holidays. Funeral services will be held at the Pitcher Funeral Home Thursday at 2 o'clock, Rev. Virgel Russell, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. The body will be taken to Oskaloosa, Kans. for burial and funeral services will be held there Friday afternoon. Sireno E. Robohn was born at Oskaloosa, Kans. March 26, 1860, the son of Frederick and Elisa Rohohn. He was united in marriage to Mary Frank Cowan at Oskaloosa June 14,1882. Mr. and Mrs. Robohn filed on a homestead near Cedar creek north of Carnegie Dec. 15, 1901. They moved to Carnegie in February, 1906 and have since made their home here. Col. Robahn was one of the first settlers here. He helped to establish and helped to build the first schools and churches. In the early days he served three terms as township tax assessor. He served 18 years as city clerk and for 22 years was building custodian of the schools. He taught a men's Bible class at the Methodist church 15 years. He was a charter member of Carnegie lodge No. 294. He had been a Master Mason 55 years and an Odd Fellow 53 years. Besides the widow he is survived by an only daughter, Mrs. Edna F. True, Ozawkie, Kans. Ten grandchildren survive, all living in Kansas except James, head of the commercial department at Cameron colege, Lawton. James was here Wednesday making arrangements for the funeral. He will accompany Mrs. Robohn to Kansas for the burial services.
