The daughter of William and Sarah Eakins, she was born in this county September 7, 1869. She had lived in Ottumwa the past 43 years. Worth, Tex. and Elmer Tidball, West Plains, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Alice Davis, West Plains, Mo., Mrs. Bertha McCauley, East Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Adaline Bahr, Sexton; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Luella Moss, Davenport, Mrs. Myrtle Neff, Lindstrom, Minn., Mrs. Etta McCall and Mrs. Olive Lawson, both of Ottumwa and Mrs. C. E. Cosby, Fremont; and three brothers, William Eakins, Floris, and Roy and Walter Eakins, both of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Elkins, in 1912, and by her second husband, George S. Tidball, January 15, 1943, and by a son, Emmett in 1927. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending arrangements. TIDBALL FUNERAL Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Elkins Tidball, who died Sunday evening at the St. Joseph hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Johnson funeral home. The Rev. A. D. McClure and the Rev. C. R. Reed will be in charge of the services and burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The casket will be taken tot the home at 409 North Adella street at 4 p.m. today and will be returned to the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Thomas Kendall, Claude Shepard, Harold McCall, Gerald Lawson, Lloyd Eakins and Wesley Eakins.
