Deceased was the fourth child born to Daniel K. and Eveline Bonar, and was well and favorably known to the people of Birmingham, where nearly all her single life was spent, and at one time she was a prominent teacher in the schools. Hope. MARY INA BONAR was born in Birmingham, Jan. 31, 186*, and died in Wichita, Kansas, Saturday morning March 2, 1907. Deceased was the fourth child born to Daniel K. and Eveline Bonar, and was well and favorably known to the people of Birmingham, where nearly all her single life was spent, and at one time she was a prominent teacher in the schools. She was married to Dr. Bird N. Hope Jan. 5th, 1888. Three children were the result of this union, one of whom died in infancy. The husband and two sons, Paul and Dale, are left to mourn the death of a kind and loving wife and mother. December 1906 she was operated on at Guthrie, Okla., and at the time the surgeons pronounced it cancer and tumors and all the organs were complicated and it was impossible to do her any good. She was taken home shortly after and showed much improvement, but at no time was there any hope held for her recovery. She remained at home until about four weeks ago when it was decided to take her to Wichita to the hospital. Thursday last she was operated on in the hospital and her condition was found more favorable than anticipated and a letter written by her husband that day was encouraging but Saturday morning a dispatch was received announcing her death. She leaves, in addition to her immediate family, a father, mother, two sisters and a brother. At an early age she united with the Presbyterian church in Birmingham and lived a consistent Christian life. She was also a member of the Eastern Star order. The remains were brought to Birmingham, arriving Monday morning. Owing to the seriousness of her father funeral services were held at the home of J.S. Hope, Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev.
