Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Mary was born November 22, 1946 to Harvey and Nira Mae (Decker) Loney, in Marshalltown. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1965 and was united in marriage to Larry Wilkening on June 18, 1966, in Marshalltown. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW,Post 839. Mary spent her time making a loving home for her husband and son. She enjoyed making flower arangements and other crafts. Also enjoyed going to garage sales and flee markets where she found fun items to add to her collections. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Kayla, who brought so much love and joy to her heart. Over the years she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, and attending their sporting events and other activities, while bringing a ray of sunshine into their lives. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Larry (May 22, 2015), her parents and a niece. Mary will be missed by many friends and family, including her son, Todd, daughter-in-law, Amy and granddaughter, Kayla Wilkening of Marshalltown, a sister, Sharon (Cliff) Viers of Marshalltown, brothers: T.W. (Zonetta) Loney of Springfield, MO, Kent (Carol) Loney of Marshalltown, and Hal (Nìce) Loney of Texas. Funeral services for Mary Wilkening, of Marshalltown, IA, were held Friday, December 4, 2015, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Pastor Jake Rosekopf was officiant for the service. Casket Bearers were Mary's loving family members including: Tracy Viers, T.W. Loney, Chase Viers, Chris Loney, Wade Viers and Dakotah Wolken. Groups in attendance were: Iowa River Hospice Staff. Interment took place in the Liscomb Cemetery in Liscomb, IA.
