Sharp, mother of Melvin and Mrs. Wesley Knappenberger, died at Perry Saturday, her body being brought to Coon Rapids Monday for interment, service being conducted by Rev. Patrick in the M. E. church in the presence of many sorrowing friends. Mary Jane Miner was born September 7, 1843, and departed this life August 10, 1907. She was married to Jacob Sharp October 5, 1865. E. church in the presence of many sorrowing friends. Mary Jane Miner was born September 7, 1843, and departed this life August 10, 1907. She was married to Jacob Sharp October 5, 1865. To this union seven children were born, all of whom are living and were with her in her last illness except the eldest daughter, who resides in Michigan. The children are as follows: Sarah Martin, Fannie Easton, William, Carrie Knappenberger, Nettie Bovee, Melvin, Emma Sigler. It will be remembered they were called upon to give up their father a little over a year ago. She was a great sufferer for many years but bore it patiently and her daily prayer was to go home to heaven. Would say: God's will be done not mine. In His good time, He will take me out of this suffering. I am ready, only waiting God's will. She talked to her children about departing from them, and asking that they sing of the home beyond, exclaiming: "Oh, how bright is the home prepared for His children in the beautiful land."
