She died at her home in Geneva, Neb., May 3, 1918, at the age of 57 years, 9 months and 3 days, after an illness of six months. She was married to John Kelch at Toulon, Ill., October 21, 1878. To this union were born five children, one son and four daughters: May Jay of Hastings, Neb., Mike Kelch of Geneva, Neb., Katie Saylor of Albany, Ore., Hattie Stolldorf, Geneva, Neb., Minnie Schmidt of Chappell, Neb. She leaves to mourn her death besides her immediate family three step children, Mrs. Preston Fisher of Beaver Crossing, Joe and Peter Kelch of Geneva; four brothers, Peter Sheen of Waukomis, Ok., Will Sheen, Kearney, Neb., her twin brother, Johnnie Sheen of Cambridge, Neb., Mike Sheen of Gibbon, Neb., and twenty-four grandchildren. These besides a host of friends will ever remember the pleasant word and the kindly deed that were never withheld. She was a kind and devoted mother, loved by all who knew her for her quiet ways and thoughtfulness of others. Those who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Will Schmidt and daughter of Chappell, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Fisher and family, Mrs. Steve Jay and family, Mr. and Mrs. Burton of Grand Island, Mrs. Witt of Prosser, John Sheen of Cambridge, Will Sheen and wife and two sons and their wives of Kearney, Mike Sheen and family of Gibson, Earl Eyer Fisher of Camp Funston, Kas., a grandson who is in Uncle Sam's service; Mr. and Mrs. Will Brinkow of Western and Jim Jay of Prosser. The funeral took place from the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. R. H. Thompson. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
