Description	:	KELCH, MICHAEL JOHN—Michael John Kelch, only son of John and Mary Kelch, was born in Toulton, Ill., July 4, 1880. He departed this life Tuesday, May 4, 1948, at his home in Geneva Neb., at the age of 67 years and 10 months. He had been ill ten months, bedfast the last four weeks. Read More	KELCH, MICHAEL JOHN—Michael John Kelch, only son of John and Mary Kelch, was born in Toulton, Ill., July 4, 1880. He departed this life Tuesday, May 4, 1948, at his home in Geneva Neb., at the age of 67 years and 10 months. He had been ill ten months, bedfast the last four weeks. He came with his parents to Fillmore County at the age of five, and settled between Fairmont and Exeter. Later he moved south of Geneva. He was united in marriage to Orpha Luella Warner, September 16, 1908, at Geneva. He spent all of his married life around Geneva. To this union were born four sons. One son, Francis Bernard, preceded him in death in 1917, at the age of one year and 4 months. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three sons, Clarence Michael and Wilber John of Geneva and Lewis Edward of Hastings, Neb., four granddaughters; one grandson; a half-sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher of Lincoln, Neb.; two half-brothers, John Kelch of Fairbury, Neb., and Peter Kelch of Geneva; four sisters, Mrs. May Jay and Mrs. Katie Saylor of Albany, Ore.; Mrs. Hattie Stoldorf of Shenandoah, Ia., and Mrs. Minnie Schmidt of Superior, Neb.; also a host of other relatives and friends. He was a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed in his home. Services were held at Kritner Funeral Home in Geneva, Friday, May 7, Father James F. Gilroy officiated. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidt of Superior; Mrs. Ward Doll and son of Fairfield; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kelch and grandson and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kelch of Fairbury; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kelch of Fairmont; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stoldorf and family of Hastings; and Mr. and Mrs. Clair Fisher of Beaver Crossing.
