Description	:	Obituary Mrs. Mary Brislen died last evening at her home, eight miles north west of town from injuries received from a fall the night before. Accidentally falling she broke a leg, and being 89 years old, she did not rally from the shock of the accident. Mrs. Brislen was born in Campbeltown, Scotland, May 29 [26], 1820. She came to this country forty years ago, and for thirty-three years had lived in Kansas. Read More	Obituary Mrs. Mary Brislen died last evening at her home, eight miles north west of town from injuries received from a fall the night before. Accidentally falling she broke a leg, and being 89 years old, she did not rally from the shock of the accident. Mrs. Brislen was born in Campbeltown, Scotland, May 29 [26], 1820. She came to this country forty years ago, and for thirty-three years had lived in Kansas. Eight children were born to her and her husband, who died before she left Scotland, and of these, four survive, They are Neal, Thomas, Alec and Annie. The last named three lived with their mother, and Neal has a farm near here, Mrs. Brislen was the grandmother of Robert Austin and Mrs. John Bostwick of Topeka, and Mrs. E. W. Swan of Beloit, all whom arrived this afternoon. Mrs. Brislen was a life long member of the Presbyterian church. The funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon a 1:30 o'clock. The internment will be in Maplewood. Rev. A. L. Grigsby will conduct the funeral services. The Emporia Gazette, Emporia, Kansas, USA 1 April 1909, page 1.
