Mrs. Elma Enarson, formerly a resident of Villisca, but for the last few years residing in Shambaugh, Iowa, died Saturday evening at 8:15 o’clock in Villisca at the home of her mother, Mrs. Sarah Miller, her death resulting from heart trouble following a siege of influenza. Mary Louisa Miller was born in Montgomery County, Iowa, on May 17, 1890, and was 37 years old at her death. She grew to womanhood in Villisca, was graduated from Villisca High School with the class of 1908, and taught school in this county four years. She was united in marriage with Elmo L. Enarson, on January 14, 1914 and is survived by her husband and one little daughter, Naomi Ferne. She leaves also her mother, one brother, Frank of near Brooks, and three sisters, Flossie Miller of Villisca, Mrs. Faye Van Alstine of Brooks, and Mrs. Alice Olenius of southwest of Villisca. Her father preceded her in death on May 31, 1917. She joined the Methodist Chruch in Villisca in her girlhood and has always had an active part in the work of the church and the Sunday School. Her funeral was held Monday afternoon in the Methodist Church, Rev. Geo. A. Lawton of Villisca, Rev. E. S. Menoher of Corning, Rev. J. H. Bennett of Blockton, Iowa, and Rev. L. D. Channell of Shambaugh taking part in the service. The singing was by Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Shane, Mrs. J. L. Smith, and Albert F. Davie, with Miss Alice Newton at the organ and the pall bearers were Geo. J. Edwards, Fred Ewing, H. C. Lindell, P. H. Peterson, Henry Tyler, and Glen Robe. Interment was in Villisca, Cemetery. Those besides the member of the immediate family of the deceased who were here from a distance to attend the funeral were Miss Margaret Hill, Shell Lake, Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Higgins and family, Corning; Mrs. Celia Enarson, daughter, Nellie and son, Paul, Atlantic; Mrs. Jasper Langdon, Red Oak, and Mr. and Mrs. Emory Strong, Hawleyville, Iowa.
