Description	:	Mary Louise Gruber Bullers Wilson born March 17, 1861 in Carlton, Ohio. Her parents were Lewis Gruber (whom we only know of due to her marriage certificates to both William Bullers and Gus Wilson) and Jane A. Casey (b.1834-d. 12/29/1907 in What Cheer, Iowa). Her father Lewis has been untraceable at this time. Also there is no other evidence to show anything but Mary being an only child. Sometime between 1861 and 1870 Mary and her mother moved to Iowa as they appear on the Springfield, Iowa 1870 census living with the Thomas Urie family. Thomas was married to one of Jane’s sisters. On October 9, 1873 Mary’s mother Jane Casey Gruber married John Lister and the family lived in What Cheer, Iowa Jane, Mary, John and his children one of which was daughter Annie Lister Burke. Mary attained her Teachers Certificate from Keokuk County on August 28, 1880. While living in What Cheer, Iowa Mary would have a couple of beau’s and on June 22, 1882 she married William Birdsall Bullers son of John Bullers (b.1833 in England-d. 06/07/1885 in What Cheer) and Jane Ferguson Bullers (b.09/19/1841 in Nova Scotia, Canada-d. 10/29/1926 in What Cheer)in What Cheer, Iowa. Mary's new husband William had worked in the mines of What Cheer but also learned the art of photography and made his career in the photography field until his death on October 12, 1914. William and Mary had four boys William Gruber Bullers (b.10/2/1887-d.09/11/1959) and Perry Ferguson Bullers (b.12/24/1889-d.03/08/1954) were both born in What Cheer. John Lewis Bullers (b.11/2/1892d-d.2/2/1968) and Thomas Casey Bullers (b.01/21/1897- d.01/12/1979) were born in Oskaloosa, Iowa. William and Mary and their two older sons moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1893. William continued with his photography business of portraits, store interiors and buildings. Their boys grew up in Oskaloosa and attend school, marry and have families of their own, three would work in some field of the photography or printing business for their career. After William’s death in 1914 her childhood sweetheart Llewellyn Augustus Wilson came back into her life and the two of them married on November 30, 1919 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. After their marriage the couple moved to Elwood, Gosper County, Nebraska. Gus would farm on the ranch and he built a house in town for Mary. As their health began to deteriorate they moved into a nursing facility in Beatrice, Nebraska on September 30, 1945 and Mary died there on October 12, 1945. She was brought back to Iowa and buried next to William Birdsall Bullers.
