Description	:	The daughter of John Ellis McConnell from Ohio and Elizabeth Frances Moss from Kentucky. Mary was married before to Algie Lee and had two children., Katie Gwendolyn Lee who married a Riddle and son Horace J. Lee. Mary's paternal grandfather John McConnell was from Ireland and had lived in Ohio, but spent his last remaining years in Shelby County, Indiana. He was married to Cynthia Crossley. After moving to Indiana with his parents, John (Mary's father ) enlisted in the Indiana Volunteer Infantry in 1861, he died a year later. Chandler. ~ ~ Monday, February 24, 1947 Mrs. Mary Lousie Redifer- Tribune, p. 2. Riley, Ind., Feb 24.- ( Special )- Mrs. Mary Louise Redifer, 89 years old, died at 9 o'clock Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lela Chandler, three miles south of Riley. She is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Katy Riddle of Dearborn Michigan; two sons, John Redifer and Horace Lee, both of Cory, Ind; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Fox Funeral Home and returned to the daughters residence Sunday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at Mrs. Chandlers home at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning with continued services at 11 o'clock at the Oak Hill United Brethern Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
