Description	:	Mary Metzner was born at Elizabeth, New Jersey, January 17, 1846. She passed from this life Thursday, April 22, 1920, aged 74 years, 3 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to Charles Neumann, February 6th, 1864, in Henry County, Illinois. To this union eight children were born all of whom are living. Five sons, August, Edward, George, Oscar and Clarence. Three daughters, Mrs. Christian Rath, Mrs. Katherine Stevens and Mrs. Lewis F. Esch. Read More	Mary Metzner was born at Elizabeth, New Jersey, January 17, 1846. She passed from this life Thursday, April 22, 1920, aged 74 years, 3 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to Charles Neumann, February 6th, 1864, in Henry County, Illinois. To this union eight children were born all of whom are living. Five sons, August, Edward, George, Oscar and Clarence. Three daughters, Mrs. Christian Rath, Mrs. Katherine Stevens and Mrs. Lewis F. Esch. She also leaves twenty-one grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother and one sister. In the year 1879 the family moved to Sutton where they have since resided. The same year she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Sutton under the pastorate of Rev. Mr. Wood. The long, weary years of her illness are well known to her neighbors and loved ones as they watched with anxiety and loving sympathy for the return of the health and strength that did not come until God in His mercy called her from suffering to Eternal rest. Funeral services were conducted from the home Saturday afternoon by Rev. C.M. McCorkle. Burial was made in the City Cemetery. ------------obituary
