Funeral Services will be held at the Roberts-Blue Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Roy Turner will conduct the service and burial will be at Maplewood cemetery. Mrs. Cole was born March 23, 1871 in Evansville, Ind and she married George Holly Cole in Cottonwood Falls, in 1891. Mr. Cole died in Emporia in 1929. She is survived by sons: Wayne and Homer Cole of Topeka, George D. aka: Joseph of Seattle, Wash and Walter Cole of Emporia. Daughters, Verna Walters, Calif., Mrs. Mabel Bowers, Emporia, Mrs. Helen Cramer, Topeka, Elenor Gunkel of Colorado, Mrs. Hazel Swanson of Wyoming, Miss Pearl Cole, Emporia, Mrs. Hattie Brown, Oklahoma and Mrs. Myrtle O'Neal. One son, John Howard and one daughter, Rose, preceded her in death. She is survived by three half-brothers: Sidney Judd, Emporia, Easter Judd, Washington, two half-sisters, Mrs. Ann Fillmore, Cottonwood Falls, and Miss Ella Judd. 28 grandchildren and several great grand-children. (Footnote: Mary's father, William M Judd married Mary J Wilder on April 7, 1870 in Warrick, Ind. When Mary Marie was 3, her father married Sarah Marie Allen in Warrick, Ind. Oct. 15, 1874. William and his new wife, Sarah took Mary with them to Kansas. Mary's biological mother remained in Warrick County, Indiana and died at the age of 47, November 4, 1901 in her hometown.)
