Fisher, 87, is Survived by One Hundred Forty Living Descendants Mrs. Mary M. Fisher, a great great grandmother with 140 living descendants, was called by death last Friday. Mrs. Fisher, wife of the late H. H. Fisher, was born in Pennsylvania, January 1, 1850, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wesley Jones February 19, 1937, having attained the age of 87 years, 1 month and 15 days. Since the death of her husband, January 20, 1921, she had made her home with her children, living with her daughter the last three years, where she received constant and loving care. When a small child Mrs. Fisher came with her parents to Iowa, settling at Cresco. In 1866 she was married to Samuel Jessmore of Marble Rock, to this union two daughters were born, one dying in infancy, the other is Mrs. Ollie Jones. Mr. Jessmore contracted lung fever, while serving in the Civil War, and soon passed away. On July 9, 1870, she was united in marriage with Henry H. Fisher also a Civil War soldier. Eight sons and one daughter were born to tis union: Henry of Waterloo, Wilbur, Lester, George, Noble, Bert, Earl and Walter, all living in the vicinity of Nashua and Mrs. Gertrude Norton of Des Moines. She is also survived by 63 grandchildren, 63 great grand children, and 4 great great grandchildren, a total of 140 living descendants. Mrs. Fisher united with the Baptist church in Nashua when it was first organized. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Little Brown Church. Rev. Hodgkin officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. The six oldest sons acted as pallbearers.
