Mrs. Moffitt Husband was born April 11th, 1811, in Muskingdon county Ohio. She was married to James Husband December 3, 1837. They lived in Ohio until 1850 when they moved with their family to Iowa, residing a few miles from Afton for almost 30 years. Read More	Afton, Iowa, Mar. 28, 1889 DIED Mrs. Mary Husband at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. Bartholomew, Thursday, March 21, 1889. Mrs. Moffitt Husband was born April 11th, 1811, in Muskingdon county Ohio. She was married to James Husband December 3, 1837. They lived in Ohio until 1850 when they moved with their family to Iowa, residing a few miles from Afton for almost 30 years. Some few years ago Mr. Husband died, and Mrs. Husband moved to Afton, where she resided until her death. She was the mother of six children, five of whom are living. She has had poor health for some five years past, but was confined to her bed one short week. At the early age of sixteen she united with the Methodist church; on removing to Iowa she united with the Evangelical church of this place and remained a faithful and earnest christian until her death. The funeral exercises were conducted by Rev. G. J. Nixon at the Evangelical church and was attended by a large concourse of friends. To her bereaved children and relatives we extend our deepest sympathy. After a long and useful life she has gone to her reward. The remains were interred in the Afton cemetery.
