Read More	Orchard News Obituary Mary Odren was born in Branch county, Michigan, October 2, 1862 and died at Orchard, Nebraska Mary 17, 1912 aged 49 years, 5 months and 15 days. She was the daughter of Joseph Odren of Buchanan county, Iowa, being one of seven children - six girls and one boy - three of whom survive her. Mr. Odren, being a soldier of the Civil war and living at the front at the time of her birth, did not see his daughter until she was two years old. The father now past eighty years of age, together with one sister of the deceased, were present at the funeral. The parents of the deceased moved to Madison county, Nebraska, when she was about fifteen years of age, and two years later moved to Knox county, Nebraska, where they lived until she was united in marriage to Mr. E.F. Boelter, April 7, 1881. To this union were born seven boys, of whom five are living and all were present at the time of their mother's death, Mr. and Mrs. Boelter lived on a Knox county farm until 1904, when they removed to Orchard. Early in married life Mrs. Boelter united with the United Brethren church, but two years ago last December she united with the Church of Christ of which she remained a faithful member. Funeral services were held on Sunday morning in the church of her adoption, conducted by the pastor. Rev. C.B. Smith, after which the body was taken to Grimton where short services were held in the school home and the remains laid to rest in Grimton cemetery. The services at both places were largely attended by friends and relatives of the bereaved family. She was one of a family of seven children, six girls and one boy, one sister, being present at the funeral Her parents moved to Madison county, Nebr., when she was four years old, where she lived until she was married to E.F. Boelter April 17, 1851. To this union were born seven sons, five living, Mr. and Mrs. Boelter were among the early settlers in Knox county where they reside on a farm until 1904 when they moved to Orchard, which has since been their home. Early in married life Mrs. Boelter united with the United Brethren church. Two years ago last December she united with the Church of Christ of which she remained a faithful member. Funeral services were held in the church at Orchard Sunday May 19, Rev. Smith of the Christian church conducting the ceremony. The remains were followed by many friends to the Grimton school house, where a great number had gathered to pay their last respects to the one who had been their friend and neighbor for many years. After short service in the school house the remains were laid to reset in Grimton cemetery.
