Hanson and Arthur Youngdale. Burial was made in the Dayton Cemetery. Dayton Review January 29, 1959 OBITUARY MRS. FRANK ADAMSON Mary Olson was born in Hästveda, Skåne, Sweden, on May 9, 1881. She came with her parents to America in 1891, at the age of 11. She lived in the Harcourt and Gowrie communities, and was confirmed at the Harcourt Lutheran Church, on July 15, 1894, by the late Pastor S.E. Selander. This was the first class confirmed in this congregation. While she was yet a young girl her parents passed away. She sought and found employment at Des Moines and spent a number of years in that city. On Nov. 27, 1903, she was united in marriage with Mr. Frank Adamson, at Des Moines. This union was destined to continue for more than 55 years. To Mr. and Mrs. Adamson two children; a son and a daughter, were born. The family home was in the Harcourt and Lanyon communities for a number of years, where Mr. Adamson was engaged in farming. In 1932 they moved to Dayton, and have made their home in this community since that time. Mrs. Adamson passed away suddenly early last Thursday, Jan. 15, at her home. She was in frail health, but had seemed about as usual on Wednesday, taking care of her usual household tasks. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Frank Adamson, of Dayton; her son Philip Adamson, of Fort Dodge, her daughter, Elna, Mrs. H.M. Bricker, of Indianola, Iowa, 2 granddaughters, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. Her brother, Olaf Olson, of Des Moines, passed away just three hours before Mrs. Adamson. Mrs. Adamson was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dayton, and was active in its work and worship as health permitted.
