For thirteen years she had lived with her relatives and friends, her husband having been called by the "silent messenger" Nov. 8th 1905. Of the six children born to this union, only two remain, Mrs. B.F. Poteet and W.R. Briggs. Mrs. Briggs was for forty years a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and in this yard, "neath the shade of the pine's tall spire," her body was laid to await the Savior's coming. Gone forever from...
